Parent Child Health supports families in Kitsap with multiple programs. Our staff is available to provide referrals and guidance to all pregnant and parenting families in the county in multiple languages. A free, personal nurse for first time, low income mothers. New mothers receive support, education and valuable resources to be the best parent they can be.

The Everett Clinic offers a wide variety of classes. Curriculums change month to month. Classes frequently offered include TEC Weight Loss for Life; Your Life, Your Wishes; Conquering Anxiety; Coping with Stress; Living with Chronic Conditions; Newborn Basics, and more.

Assists pregnant individuals and their support person(s) understand and prepare for the childbirth experience as well as gain knowledge of the options available for their labor, delivery and post-partum experience. Also provides urgent breastfeeding support and assists with baby feeding concerns.

Provides comprehensive and up-to-date birth and family education at the most affordable price for pregnant women and their families. Program offers a full spectrum of classes covering pregnancy through parenting teens and is taught by certified childbirth educators. Learn what to expect during pregnancy and labor, parenting skills for newborn, young child, or teen, and you'll meet other people experiencing some of the same joys and challenges that go along with being a mom or dad. Support groups are also available.

Kitsap Supports Breastfeeding is a network of supports for lactating parents and promotes breastfeeding / chestfeeding in our community.

Offers supportive services for parents and caregivers to build loving bonds with their children preparing them for healthy futures. Essential Needs: - Provides diapers of various sizes, wipes and formula based on availability. Can receive additional supplies every 30 days. - Provides clothing sizes newborn to 2T every 60 days. Takes up to two business days to fill order. - Offers other essential items every 60 days such as Baby bathtub, stroller, highchair, etc. based on availability. Parenting Classes: - Circle of Security teaches parents to identify, understand and respond to their child's emotional needs. The 8-week course is offered quarterly for caregivers of children aged six months to five years. - Baby Care 101 is a course providing expectant and newly parenting caregivers education and tools to learn how to care for their new baby. - Toddler Care 202 is an interactive parenting series that covers child development, nutrition, sleep, potty-training, and more. - Also offers an interactive music class for children ages birth-5 to attend with their caregiver. Pregnancy and Parenting Support: Offers a weekly drop-in social support group for moms with children up to age 5. Childcare is provided. ​Offers parents the opportunity to have parent support, goal setting, and community resources to help them be the parent they want to be with support from our compassionate circle of security-trained case manager. Families with children ages 3-5 can access Education Support to work on kindergarten readiness. Adults may receive ESL support. Matches with an experienced mentor who’s been through the challenges of parenting. Receive one on one mentorship, non-judgemental support, guidance, and friendship. Provides peer-to-peer breastfeeding and chestfeeding support through phone/email counseling and in monthly group meetings as well as educational materials. Coordinates a network of volunteers who are available to provide timely, free information and counseling on breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping and weaning.  

Coordinates a breastfeeding support group for nurturing mothers. A volunteer may also visit mothers at home if it is preferred.

Provides a nutrition program and food assistance for pregnant and postpartum women and infants and children under age 5.   Offers: -  Nutrition and health assessments and education -  Breastfeeding counseling -  Vouchers for specific nutritious foods -  Health screenings and referrals -  Referrals to other health and social programs Monthly benefits are valued at approximately $150 for a family of two per month for nutritious foods. Families can also use their WIC QR code to spend summer Farmers Market benefits and monthly Fruit and Vegetable benefits at approved farmers markets and farm stores. Participants can receive $28 of Farmers Market benefits, with a maximum of $84 per family.

Offers a directory of internationally board-certified (IBCLC) lactation consultants throughout the United States. Services that a private consultant may offer include: - home visits - consultations in private office or breast feeding clinic, - rental of electric pumps and/or - the sale of various products.
